Baby Oil

I was cleaning out the Bathroom cupboard when I found this bottle of baby oil. I bought this bottle when Carter was born so 71/2 years ago. It was used once. Let me explain. I use to bowl on a league and would leave carter home with Matt he was just little. He was told to bath him and them put the green bottle of lotion on him (Johnson's and Johnson's mild baby LOTION) Carter skin could not handle the pink bottle of lotion. When I got home I went to the crib to check on him. I though he was sweating to death so I put my hand on hos head to see how high his fever was........Well he was not hot at all just really slick. I had to think why my child was so slick, then I looked over at the changing table and there was this bottle of Baby OIL. Matt rubbed him down with baby oil instead of lotion. Well, after that this bottle was hid and no one used it. I found it today and thought we never use this and threw it away. It was not two seconds when I hear "MOM, I kind of got this stuck" what was stuck I lean around the corner and Carter has one of his keys stuck on his purple finger. I had no idea how I was getting this off. Needless to say we are keeping the bottle of baby oil in the first aid kit! If you have an old bottle laying around you might just want to keep it. It works wonders on stuck things!

Pictures

These pictures were taken two days before I found the snake skin and on the rock right above it. I hope there is no nests of snakes in my rocks! Check out the 7 yr old's HUGE shoes and bony legs! I swear he eats....

SNAKES!!!!

Please someone anyone tell me the truth......Is this a rattle snake?????
I was in the back yard showing Matt the Vinca that I planted (everywhere) and I stuck my hand right next to this. It took me a second to realize that I really seen this then of coarse came the screams and we are moving. By the way I have free Vinca you come and put your hand in my rocks and pull it out and it is yours. I guess Vinca spreads a little faster then I was told so I need to pull it out before it roots!! FUN FUN FUN. I HATE (and that is a mean word) SNAKES! Someone HELP!!!!!!

The Yard

I found these pics of when we did the back yard. It took us FOREVER to finish the back yard. The retaining wall was about 6 months.

When we got the wall in I planted some grasses that I got from Cathy's late husband. Look how little they are!!
Look at them now! They stand taller then me so they are over 5ft. tall. I planted Vinka all over the rock wall it will be fun to see how much that grows. Just don't look at the dying Japanese maple.

Updates

Carter is starting to get excited about School! Met his teacher on Friday Mrs. Christensen and found out that the bishops daughter is in his class (not sure if he likes her or not???).

My cousin who lives in the top of the "Spanish mansion" had a yard sell this weekend and Shayla not getting enough sleep HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA! This is the first in sight to if She does not get to bed in time. Let's just say we left Wendy's with out her eating and Carter got to set in the front on they way back to Grandma's (Shayla took it out on him and we left Grandma at Wendy's) She took a 3 hour nap today.

Carter had his first sleep over at Aunt Shell's got to sleep in Robert's bed. Got mad because he could not take the whole yard sale home with him and here are some pic's of what we did on Friday.

These balloons were really hard to pop. We started throwing them at each other and they left welts! Well, wish me luck at church with the kids in sacrament. It doesn't really work when you don't have kid adult kid then adult.

Carter finally got to play a game of Pokemon. He loved Pokemon!

We went to the Discovery Gateway here are some pics...

When we got home there was water on the kitchen floor. Guess what happened?????? My fridge went out. So on Sunday Matt made jerky with all the thawed out meat and the repair guy lives two blocks away and isn't coming until 4-6PM! I hope he can fix it but knowing our luck I better be looking for a new fridge. Thanks to the neighbor for letting me use her two coolers. This is our fridge until we find out what is going on.

Poor Shayla

Took Shayla to the Doctor and they categorized her nose. I guess she has some massive vessels. She also has staff in her nose. She was not happy!!! Hopefully she will not have a bloody nose again. She (Heidi) referred me to a good dermatologist in Alpine so in Sept. we will see about her skin. I really wish this child could just be normal for once. She scream so much that she fell asleep on the way home. A nap how nice....

We do NOT need beds at our house

Sunday morning Matt gets up and finds Shayla had got out of bed and slept in his rocking chair. Then Monday morning we find Carter sleeping in the door way of his room. It is a good thing Shayla did not have a bloody nose Sunday night. She is back to having a bloody nose every night. She goes to the ENT on Wednesday hopefully something can be done!

Pink Eye?

Let's start from the beginning.....Shayla has a bloody nose EVERY night. I have been putting Saline up her nose at night and guess what? The bleeding stopped. Finally I do not have to wash all her blankets every day!!! Then Wow Shayla looks like this... Is it PINK EYE? Do I have to wash the sheets again? Do I have to Clorox everything? I hate pink eye (never had it but I hate it).

Well I get on the phone with the Doc and make the appointment "can you make it by 9:10" (it is 8:30 and Carter is still in bed). "I sure can" What was I thinking? I went to the freezer to get Eggos we are in a hurry. I bet you can not guess what I found in there? This....

I asked the kids. "who put the coke in the freezer?" of course the answer is not me. It had to of been Matt since he is the one that drinks coke and there was none in the fridge when he got home! Well back to the doctor. Shayla's Eye is NOT pink eye. It is.......ALLERGIES! We got rid of the hives and now we have it in the eye. I do not know about this kid!!! I was just thinking (yesterday in fact) how nice it will be to have her in pre-school this year with no hives. She can look normal and I think Michele also commented on her hives the other day.....Well they are back in what looks like pink eye. I was going to take the kids the Yucky Cheese today because they have done their chores all week but, not now. We got toys at Walgreens instead.
