The new pet.

Well I gave in and got a new pet against my will. Isn't it cute. We had to tell Shayla NOT to stick her hand in the whole. I need to pull weeds so I had the bug guy come and spray and now I have to be afraid of a squirrel coming out at me. Last year it was the bird nest that the birds would dive at your head. I wonder what we will have next year?

New favorite web site

In all my ranting and raving I for got to post this.

Playmates or not?

Shayla found these friends down the street. Have no clue who they are or what their names are. I was on the phone with the washer repair place and I turn around and this little kid is in my house with Shayla. It took me a while to get him outside. I did not want this kid in my house in case the parents were looking for him. These days you have no idea what you could be accused of. Anyway we went outside and after 45min I deiced to come back in. NEVER did the parents come looking for this kid. Come to find out they live about 5 houses down the street. This little boy is 2 years old! I would never let my 2 year old out of my sight..... let alone Shayla my 4 year old. Am I over protective or do parents just not care anymore and that is why there is so many child abductions?
Not only do I have one neighbor like this but two. The other neighbor lets their 2 year old run around the neighborhood (back and forth across the road) unsupervised and with no clothes. For some odd reason they all like to hang out in my front yard throwing the rocks all over the grass. I think I am going to have to be the guy in Monster House and yell at all the little kid to stay off my lawn and out of my yard, just for the sake that the parents do not watch these children and I do not want to be held for something or see them get hit by cars. Why do people have more kids when they can not take care of the ones they all ready have???????

Fourth of July weekend

Carter bought this four wheeler when he was 4 1/2. It is a no name piece... Well it has safety things all over it and if you give it to much gas to fast it will die. Then the battery will not stay charged. So Carter was giving Shayla a ride and it died. These are the heart broke kids!Carter getting a little to daring!First Time threw the muddle puddle and stuck. Notice the feet are raised up.
Second time threw he made it half way and then hit a rock under the water. Well guess what happened? They four wheeler died and yep Matt had to pull him out for the second time.

Geo Caching. Matt like to take the kids to find the treasures everywhere we go! They love it and it is a fight to who kid find it first.

Fishing! The first day we got skunked. We went back on the way home and both of the kids caught a fish. Shayla makes it a point to tell everyone that Carter caught the small one and she caught the big one. She did not like it when they wiggled this year but will still kiss them! Carter held a fish for the first time this year.

I told the kids if they took a nap they could have popcorn and a campfire that night. Well, they took the naps so we cooked popcorn and have a fire. (my kids will not eat smores so we thought the popcorn would be a good idea and less of a mess!)

Finally a day at HOME!

Well, we (I) enrolled Carter into a Summer School with Alpine School District and it is every day for two weeks at Bonneville. Carter loves it need less to say I do not think we will do it again unless it is a little closer to home. It goes from 8:15-12:00. He as never complained about getting up Carter loves the inventors and my mom is trying to talk him into making fuel that is mostly water. Wouldn't we all love that! Here are some pic's
Forget about the peanut butter and Jam all over her face, this is how tired my children are at 8:00 at night. Carter looks like he has been crying but he hasn't.

This is at the gym in the school where Carter goes to the Inventors Convention. He loves it and does not mind getting up and out the door by 7:00. If you know Carter that is WAY early for him. He will sleep till 11:30 if you let him.

This is the tooth paste they made. " I made it out of the box with the arm on it and they said not to eat it, they were right it was gross."
Yesterday Carter woke up and started throwing up. We stayed home from School. It was nice not to have to live in Orem for the day. Today at school they have a field trip to SLC. We are staying home another day because Carter has not ate yet. I was up Till Midnight last night cleaning my house. Anyone know of a good mop, I hate them all. The swifer is the worst. The little pre wet pads....Well they only do about 4 stripes on the floor before they dry out. It is a good thing I bought a Costco box. After about 15 (well 6) pads my floor was some what clean.

Long Time

Here are some pic's from the 4th of July. The kids had fun (that includes my father-in-law). Matt on the other hand just wanted to metal detect.

I have not blogged for a long time. It was really funny last night, Carter told Shayla that her face was gross. She had been eating corn and had butter all over her face. She came in the kitchen and said mom Carter said this (pointed to her face and drew a circle around her mouth with her finger) is gross, this is not gross, this is butter and it is good!

Splash Park!

Our ward is doing a "Summer Calander" every Tuesday and Thursday they go do something fun with the kids. Yesterday we went to the splash park in Herriman. Me and driving directions not a good idea. Me and the kids ended up at a splash park but not the one with the ward. What the heck, once we pulled up there was no way I was getting the kids back in the car! After about on hour I lost track of Shayla..... I looked everywhere. I was getting scared when all of a sudden I heard this high pitch scream coming from the bathroom. My stomach was at ease "That was Shayla". I have told this child several times that she can not go into the bathroom alone!!!! I think this makes it a challange for her. She will run to primary before I can get there then as I am getting to the primary room she is sneaking out the other door to go to the bathroom because, "I can do it my self, I can do it MOM" is what I always hear. I know she is 4 but there is a lot of scary people out there and I do not want her in the bathroom by her self. Matt and I have seen to many people in bathrooms using needles and I do not want my children to come across the left overs!!!!
The Splash Park was fun and I think every city should have them. The best FREE thing I have done this week. Oh sorry forgot to bring the camera. I might have lost that to :)
